Terms of service

Plain-English terms for using PowerFit. The short version: we compute a size from published data; we don't guarantee any install or replace an electrician; if you buy through a brand link we may earn a commission, and always confirm nameplates and specs before you rely on anything here.

Informational only — a computed sizing estimate from published appliance-wattage charts and manufacturer station specs. It is not an electrical guarantee. For hardwired or whole-home backup, transfer switches, or any permanent install, consult a licensed electrician.

A. What this is — information, not an electrical guarantee

PowerFit computes and summarizes published appliance-wattage and power-station spec data. It is informational only. It is NOT an electrical guarantee, an electrical inspection, or professional advice, and nothing here creates a professional relationship. We do not measure your appliances or your wiring. A unit we compute as "fitting" your load is a starting point based on published numbers — your appliance nameplate ratings, the station's current specs, and, for any hardwired, 240 V, transfer-switch, or whole-home work, a licensed electrician are the final authority.

B. Affiliate disclosure (brand-direct programs)

PowerFit participates in brand-direct affiliate programs (including Bluetti, Goal Zero, EcoFlow, Jackery, and Anker). The "Check price" links are affiliate links: if you buy through one, we may earn a commission, paid by the manufacturer at no extra cost to you. That commission never changes which unit we recommend or how we rank them — ranking is driven solely by computed fit and smallest-sufficient capacity. This disclosure also appears next to every affiliate link (FTC).

C. Wattages & specs — sourced, with their limits

Appliance running and surge watts are representative values from standard charts and vary by make, model, and efficiency. Power-station capacities, outputs, and surge ratings are manufacturer-published specifications, are approximate, and can change by revision or firmware (e.g. boost modes alter effective surge). Surge behavior in particular varies between individual motors. Never rely on our computation without confirming your appliance nameplates and the current product specifications.

1. What this is — and is not

PowerFit (backuppowerrecs.com) sells free computed power-station and solar-generator sizing pages and recommendations. Everything we publish or sell is an informational product: a faithful reproduction and plain-English summary of public records. It is not an electrical guarantee, a substitute for a licensed electrician or the product owner manuals, professional, electrical, or installation advice, or affiliated with or endorsed by any manufacturer, and buying or reading it does not create a professional–client relationship of any kind. Appliance wattages are representative chart values and vary by model; station specifications are manufacturer figures and can change. A computed size is a starting point, never a guarantee.

2. Where the data comes from

Every figure we publish is derived entirely from cited public records: standard appliance-wattage / generator-sizing charts and manufacturer-published power-station specifications. Each page and report names its source, links the underlying official record where one exists, and stamps the vintage of the data it was generated from. If you need to verify anything we say, the citation trail is the way to do it — and we encourage it.

3. No warranty

Source records can be wrong, late, amended, or missing; we reproduce and interpret them faithfully, but we provide the service "as is", without warranty of accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. The absence of a record is never proof that an event did not happen, and the presence of one is not proof of its effect on any particular property.

4. Limitation of liability

Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the site or a purchased product is capped at the amount you paid us for that product. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including denied claims, lost disputes, or decisions made in reliance on the data.

5. Your use is yours

What you do with the output — filings, insurance disputes, purchase decisions, negotiations — is your decision and your responsibility, and you agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your use of it. If a matter is significant, have the underlying records reviewed by a qualified professional.

6. Refunds

If a purchased report isn't useful to you, reply to your delivery email within 14 days and we'll refund it — no forms, no argument.

7. Corrections

Where pages reference real businesses, people, or properties, every fact is attributed to the official record it came from, with its date. If something is wrong, reply to any email we have sent you, or use the contact listed in the site footer and we will correct or remove it promptly.
