Plain and up front, the way the FTC requires: here's exactly how PowerFit earns money, and — just as important — what that does and doesn't change.
How we make money
Everything on PowerFit — the sizing tool, the rankings, the per-appliance and per-unit pages — is free. We pay for the work through brand-direct affiliate programs: Bluetti, Goal Zero, EcoFlow, Jackery, Anker SOLIX. When you click a "Check price" button and buy, the manufacturer pays us a commission. We are completing our applications to these programs; until they're approved the links work normally but earn nothing. It costs you nothing extra — the price is the same whether you use our link or not.
What it does NOT change
- Our recommendation is driven only by computed fit — does the unit clear your running watts, surge, and watt-hours? — and by smallest sufficient capacity, so we never push more than your load can use.
- We don't bury units that fit, and we don't pad the list with units that don't.
- The wattage math, surge check, and runtime estimate are identical whether or not you ever click a link.
About routing
Commission rates differ by brand (some pay more, some have longer cookie windows). When two units are equally sufficient for your load, we may order the better-paying program first — but we will never recommend a unit that doesn't fit, or hide one that does, to earn more. The smallest-sufficient pick is always decided by capacity, not commission.
Why brand-direct search links
Our buy buttons open the manufacturer's own site for the exact model. That's deliberate: it lands you on the current, in-stock listing with the live price and warranty, and it routes through the brand's own affiliate program — the highest-paying, longest-cookie option, which also funds this free tool.
